Rockshire News: Rockshire has a low crime rate overall but several car and home break-ins occurred in 2014. On October 29, the City of Rockville announced the arrest of two individuals suspected of burglarizing homes in the 2300 block of Glenmore Terrace and 2600 block of Northrup Drive.  A warrant was issued for the arrest of the third suspect. Police also received a complaint about car thefts in the area that the car owners did not report. Please lock car and garage doors, and call the non-emergency police number 240-3144-8900 to report anything suspicious, or dial 911 if an emergency. Crime activity can be tracked for zip code 20850 on the website:

Traffic abatement measures continued in the vicinity of Wootton High School, with installation of speed bumps on Newton Dr. and Ritchfield Ct. Police continue to patrol in the mornings and ticket drivers who enter townhouse streets to drop off students or bypass Wootton Parkway traffic.

On October 25, volunteers from Rockshire collected five bags of trash from Watts Branch streams in Wootton’s Mill Park. Thanks to all those who participated. The next cleanup will take place in the Spring. For Rockshire HOA questions, contact IKO property manager Linda Wildman directly at The IKO office number is 301-924-4050.
