We have received notice from the City of Rockville that people are dumping Christmas trees and other trash in Woottons Mill Park.
We would like to remind everyone that The City collects holiday trees as part of its regular recycling collection.
Live holiday trees and wreaths can be put out in your weekly Yard Waste Collection. Remember to remove metal base stands, nails and decorations. Find other ways to recycle trees here.
Don't throw out your holiday lights! Schedule a Special Collection or learn about other ways to recycle light strings here.
Trees are taken to the Montgomery County Recycling Center where they become mulch. The mulch is available year-round and can be picked up, for free, at the center, at 16105 Frederick Road, next to the Shady Grove Processing Facility and Transfer Station. www.Rockvillemd.gov/recycling-refuse
